College man arrested, accused of assault and battery

In almost all relationships between Georgia couples, arguments and disagreements can be expected. During these disputes, emotions can run high for all parties involved. In the heat of the moment, things happen that are unpredicted and, often, regrettable. Assault and battery charges are unfortunate, but common.

Prescription drug charges land 4 people in jail

Facing charges for any criminal offense can be one of the most challenging and frightening times in one's life. Those in Georgia who are facing these unfortunate circumstances can take some comfort, however, that a charge for any crime, including drug possession, is still far from a conviction. It is the responsibility of the prosecution to prove these individuals are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, as they are always presumed innocent in the eyes of the law unless and until that actually occurs. A recent drug bust in Cherokee County now has four individuals facing serious prescription drug charges.

The alleged sale of pot brownies results in drug crimes charges

Georgia authorities recently arrested a man for allegedly selling drug-laced brownies outside of a Walmart. The individual charged with these drug crimes was a 19-year-old aspiring entrepreneur at the time of his arrest. Many of his friends have banded together and begun raising money through an online fundraising campaign in an effort to raise money for his defense.

5 drug possession defense strategies: Were you accused?

One of the most common crimes for someone to face is the crime of drug possession. These arrests and accusations might happen after a routine traffic stop. Perhaps an officer pulls you over for speeding, for example, and sees something suspicious in the vehicle that causes him or her to perform a search that produced illegal drugs.

Multiple arrests made for drug crimes

Drugs are a major concern for law enforcement in every state. There are several illegal substances that many people think about when drugs are mentioned in conversation. Some of these drugs include marijuana, heroin or cocaine, but prescription drugs are also being used more and more for recreational purposes. Georgia authorities recently arrested eight people for drug crimes, specifically crimes involving opioid painkillers.
