Georgia hit-and-run accident injures 2 on scooter

Georgia police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle and the person who was driving it at the time of a traffic incident. The hit-and-run accident involved the vehicle in question and a motor scooter. The two passengers on the scooter did suffer injuries in the collision.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 3:30 in the afternoon on a recent Monday. The scooter was carrying two riders as it was being driven down a local road. Reportedly, the motor bike was sideswiped by a passenger car that was described as being light blue in color.

The vehicle is expected to have sustained damage to its right side after having made contact with the scooter. Both riders were taken by medical personnel to nearby facilities for treatment of their injuries, which were described only as not being life-threatening. The nature and severity of their injuries was not further detailed for the public report.

There has been no description of the driver of the vehicle so Georgia officials are asking for assistance in locating the vehicle. Once the driver is located, he or she will most likely be facing criminal charges in connection to this hit-and-run accident. While the two injured riders will likely recover from their injuries, doing so may take time, especially if they suffered any serious wounds. They may follow the developing investigation in order to determine the identity of the driver who hit them. Once the responsible party is found and held accountable, the victims of this wreck may file personal injury suits in order to possibly recoup some of the monetary damages they have sustained through medical bills and lost wages.
