Elderly Georgia man hit by alleged drunk driver

Springtime in Georgia brings out the beauty of nature, the appeal of long walks and upcoming graduation ceremonies for teens. However, recently, the combination of the above--along with a possible poor decision-- appears to have led to the serious injuries suffered by one man after he was struck by a man suspected of being a drunk driver. The authorities say that the teenager who hit him was under the influence of alcohol.

One rural town in Georgia has sadly experienced a revision of the old adage about nothing stopping the delivery of mail, be it rain, snow or the danger of being involved in a collision. The local post office has been an unwilling witness to the danger that a distracted driver poses to its employees. In the past few years, a half-dozen of the local mail carriers have been caught up in accidents where another driver was at fault.

Prison sentence in Georgia accident caused by a drunk driver

A woman has been sentenced to seven years for an accident that killed a Georgia deputy. The wreck, which was the result of a drunk driver, occurred in 2012. The judge decreed that the woman must serve time due to the display of recklessness in the time leading up to the crash.

It is often said that life is short and no one knows when they are going to die. While this may be an unpleasant thought, it has nevertheless proven to be true in yet another car accident in Georgia. The victims are young and once again, a terribly tragedy has cut life short.
